Skill Matrix App — Mapping Talent Across an Organization

An internal tool for Trinetix to map, track, and visualize employee skills across the organization. We ran the complete design process as a team — research, interviews, architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and a Behance case. My ownership spanned from synthesizing user research through to the final interactive mockups and the motion design published on Behance.

Amplifica skill dashboard on a laptop, a tablet and a phone: a career progress bar and a radar chart of hard skills

My role

Research synthesis, IA, wireframes, hi-fi, and motion, end to end

This was a full-team effort on a real internal product, and my contribution covered the core of the design process. I analyzed the research and user interview outputs, identifying patterns, clustering pain points, and extracting the insights that shaped every subsequent decision. From that foundation I built the information architecture: the structural backbone of the app before a single wireframe was drawn. I then took it through wireframing and into high-fidelity mockups.

Information architecture for the Lead role: home dashboard, skill management, team management and settings
Wireframes of the dashboard: career path, tasks and goals, a skill radar chart and the team list

The problem solved

No one knew what skills existed inside the company, including management

Career path: from Junior to Middle UX designer today, on to Senior and Team lead, with a possible branch into Business analyst
Skill radar for Senior UX designer: current hard skills against the target across six areas

Solution

A structured system for making talent visible

Four core product capabilities shaped by research: Matrix view, individual skill profile, self-assessment flow, skill gap dashboard
